I’ve always had such a sensuous relationship with fruit, it’s freaky! So summer is always a deliciously glorious time for me….the lure of firm luscious peaches sends me into raptures….mangoes and I have our own little affair going on, and watermelon, WOW!
Can’t imagine a world without the delights of fruits, and one of my happiest memories is one of apple-picking in Manali….gorgeous juicy red and green beauties just waiting to be pulled off the branches! So I’m sharing here my favourite Appletini recipe, can go mocktail also for the more faint of heart, just use apple juice in place of the alcohol.
Nina’s ‘Can’t stop at one’ Appletini:
30ml Apple Schnapps
30ml Vodka (preferably Absolut)
Juice of half a large green Lime
100ml Tonic water,
4 cubes ice (pre-frozen with a leaf of mint inside each, please)
Slices of Granny Smith apple for garnish
Shake first five ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour into a martini glass, garnish with thinly sliced apple, then raise a toast or raise the roof, it’s up to you!
Enjoy yourself… cheers, Nina
