So the significant guy friend person was doing London this week and asked what he could get me…ask a silly question my dear, and you will surely get a serious answer from moi! The list was long and luscious, and to do him justice (after all he is a guy!), he did very well…  I only have to give away two things from my goodie bag, the rest are keepers! (fyi… no, I’m not sharing my perfume stash OR my licorice Allsorts!!)

The really incredible thing is that this list-making exercise got me thinking about how it’s now such a global village out there… I mean, sure its fabulous to get out into the swanky high streets of London, Paris and the Big Apple to pick up your must-haves and droolicious stash, but hey! I look at the stuff and it’s just incredible how everything’s gotten so much closer and more accessible in the past few years. You want a Gucci bag, it’s here, I need a Chanel No.5 fix, I’ve got it. Must have something to do with the fact that we’re all getting smarter and more savvy about our styles and their statements, and also the fact that we’re getting loud about letting the world know that “hello, I want that…have money, will splurge!”

In the meantime I’m loving my splash-happy guy, and am planning to give him an evening to remember…let your imagination run riot, because I sure am doing the same! All I’m telling is that three of the main ingredients are wine, roses and candles!!
